About Cartmel College

Cartmel is the best place to spend your university life. The close-knit community means that you can easily get to know everyone and the relaxed atmosphere means you can choose what you want to do – if you want to go out on a wild one then there are PLENTY of opportunities to do so (and many like-minded people to do it with!), or if you want a night in with your mates, then you can do that too!

We have fantastic facilities – our bar, The Winning Post, has some great drinks deals (on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks) and serves fantastic food for rock bottom prices, making it a great place to go with its friendly, sociable atmosphere.

Our common room is the largest of its kind on campus and has two pool tables, three dart boards, an air hockey machine, table football, a TV with a DVD player and a Wii (which is free to use), a piano and loads of comfy sofas to sit on.

We are only a 10 minute walk away from the village of Galgate which has some of the nicest pubs around, and buses run every 10 minutes from Cartmel into Lancaster City Centre so getting elsewhere couldn’t be easier.

Freshers Week 2014 is going to be the best yet – with a packed week full of fun in the day and events in the night, it’ll be the best week of your life and one that you’ll never forget!
