Netball

Hey Girls (Sorry boys not for you!), I’m Loren Wright, Captain of the Cartmel Netball team along with Sarah Fane, and our B team captains Sophie O’Dell and Helen Schofield. Being part of the Netball team is great way to keep yourselves fit, have some fun and most importantly make some amazing friends! Although we are quite competitive within the inter-college leagues (both A and B league), it doesn’t mean you have to be an amazing netball player to join our team; anyone, no matter your ability or experience, is encouraged to join! With having two teams, everyone will have the opportunity to play in some of our matches during the season! We have 2 training sessions a week, where we run through training drills, and often set up friendly matches against each other to give everyone a bit of practice and match experience.

Weather dependent, the A team usually has 1 match a week which is played on either a Tuesday or Friday evening, and the B team have 1 match a week on a Wednesday afternoon. If that wasn’t enough for you, we also have a social every fortnight, where we let off a bit of steam and see what the girls are really like of the netball court!!!
